First Trip, Benbow

So, Our first trip out of town...We decided on Benbow. We hooked it up
and an hour and a half, 89. miles slightly inland...We arrived in warmer weather and Sunny skies! The tow was smooth and Stephen did a great job backing it up in place!
It didn't take long to set up our Little Retro Camping Oasis...

We tried to put up the awning, but gusts of wind made it a little risky in fear of damage, so we decided to hold off until we got secure ropes. So, with Flamingos, Tiki lights, red accessories and all the tech ret-to-go, we were Ready for a cocktail! There are adorable birds making chatter sounds, and really Friendly campers waving and admiring the Shasta...we are up against a Golf-course, and everything is Green!

We started a list...of the things we forgot, or needed to have on our next trip...(Good thing to do)....
Our Shasta was totally hooked up...Hot water, bathroom, heater, Cable, internet...Not really ruffing it...Yeay, Not playing "Survivor" also!

The first day was great...BBQ dinner, drinks, music
and a Movie! "The Mask", for those who Ask!

 Stephen doing the morning dishes.....Awesome!!!

The Shasta has a queen size bed, so there was plenty of room...and all was quiet except the bear that was snoring in my ear!! It's all good...I have a plan....(It's the tent he'll be pitching!)

This morning, we got up, set the patio furniture, made French toast on our Nifty Grill and enjoyed our breakfast in Sunny weather, and planned our day....
After cleaning up, we went for a walk around the Park and down to the river....

Benbow RV Park
 Walk to the River...

Yes, I go in the water....

 Stephen did too!

As you can see...our Shasta is the smallest of them all, but we Dig ours the Most!

In the afternoon, we walk under the Bridge and came to the Benbow Inn....for tea and Crumpets! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the Beautiful view...Perfect weather, bytheway! High 70's...and I got a burn on my arms an neck....

Soo Beautiful! We have Rez for Saturday night....

After our Walk-A-Bout....we came back to camp to cook Dinner...Steaks on the BBQ....Yummy!
Till the next....

  2. Thanks Deezie!
We like to plan our trip more around the weather...I'm best if we stay in the 70-80 degree weather. I cant enjoy camping if I have to stay in the Shasta because it's too cold or too hot...So...Spring and Fall are best for me! We have planned a week trip to Zephyr Cove, Nevada next month....for our 10 year Anni.
    Should be Tons of Fun!

  3. that green and red picnic table is cool! Is that yours or was it at the campgrounds? Love your retro camper. I didn't know the new ones were so cute inside!
